A few months ago I spent five weeks in Kurdistan, Iraq filming a historical drama about the city of Erbil. I played British political officer Captain William Rupert Hay, who wrote a book based on his time there in WW1. He was charged with establishing and maintaining British rule in the Kurdish district of Erbil. I had the privilege of filming the majority of scenes at Erbil Citadel, the oldest continually inhabited structure in the world, pre-dating 5th millennium BC, and where spiritual writing is thought to have originated. It’s been great watching the drama of adiabintvseries unfold on a nightly basis, and a lot of fun playing Captain Hay. Thank you to everyone involved and all of the new friends I made. adiabintvseries is on kurdistantv_official now. #adiabin #erbil #erbilcity #erbilcitadel #2yearsinkurdistan #captainhay #kurdistan #kurdistan🇹🇯 #middleeast #kurdistantv #ww2 #ww2history #ww2literature #britishmilitary #spiritualwriting #mesopotamia
