The sprawling Chetak Park in the Bathinda Cantonment is no less than an oasis and the only well-maintained place for recreation for the local population, all thanks to the indianarmy.adgpi. Amid lush green lawns and colourful flowerbeds, an environment of a mini-forest has been created with different trees, guinea fowl, mandarin ducks, rabbits and pigeons for the entertainment of the visitors.
Don't you find it peculiar yet oddly satisfying how the park is named after Maharana Pratap's horse in the Battle of Haldighati and also how there stands a centaur in the lake, alone but victorious?
