おかげさまでGINZA SIXは今月4月20日に開業5周年を迎えます！ うち2年以上は新型コロナウイルス感染症との共存を余儀なくされるなか、ここに足を運び、GINZA SIXで時間を過ごしていただいた皆さん、 人々を迎えてくださったすべての店舗様、そして銀座の街に、心からお礼申し上げます。

なお、本日から5月8日までは、昨年のクリスマスにアーティスト清川あさみさんが巨大なデジタルアートをプロデュースし話題になった7メートルのエントランスの柱に、鮮烈な色合いと未来的なアプローチで世界から注目を集めるアーティスト・写真家の小林健太さんによるご覧の新作『reflex』が登場！ 来館者をアーティスティックにエモーショナルにお迎えします。

自ら撮影した写真に、デジタル上の編集によって絵画のようなストローク（筆到）を施し、具象と抽象が複雑に組み合わされた作品をつくる小林さん。今回の作品は銀座の街並みを撮影し、編集加工したグラフィックと映像で構成。GINZA SIXのロゴを手がけた原研哉さんが新たにデザインした５周年記念ロゴとのコラボという側面も。

「メインビジュアルはファサードに映り込む街の空気感や銀座の独特な街の光の反射が伝わるよう、GINZA SIXの屋上から撮影した複数の写真を交差させてつくっています」とも語る小林さんのインタビューは下記のウェブサイトでぜひチェックを！ 展示期間中はエントランスアートのほか、エスカレーターの側面ビジュアル、1Fエントランス上部におよぶ巨大な映像ディスプレイも小林さんの世界観一色で彩られます。

We would like to take this opportunity to express our deepest thanks to all of the customers who have spent valuable time with us, to all of our brands and retailers for welcoming those customers, and to the Ginza neighborhood. You’ve made GINZA SIX into what it is today, in spite of two-plus years of the pandemic. 

From today until May 8, artist and photographer Kenta Cobayashi’s latest work “reflex” will welcome visitors at our main entrance. Cobayashi has garnered international attention for his vivid use of color and forward-looking approach.
