Are property portals an efficient way to find your dream home - Part 1

Portals such as Rightmove in the UK, Se Loger (France), Kyero (Spain), or Idealista (Portugal).

The answer is NO! 

They’re a good tool to give you a sense of the market (ie. What you can buy with your budget), but not an efficient search tool. 

Your objective as a buyer is to scan the entire market and identify all properties matching your criteria to make the right choice. 

Challenges with the portals:
#1 Limited reach 
#2 Some properties advertised there have been sold already and not available anymore.
# They completely exclude the Off Market options.
