What are true Off Market properties? 

I say true as this term « Off Market » is being used left, right and center at the moment. 

Those are properties that are not on the open market in any way, shape or form. You won’t find them on portals nor estate agents web site. 

Although some agents might put a teaser on their site with a vague description, but no photo should be there (so the property cannot be recognised). 

Why owners would want to sell their property off market? Privacy and Discretion. They might not want the general public to know they’re selling, or publicise the value of their property. 

Off market used to be confined to the top end of the market £10m+. But not anymore! This trend is widening into the mainstream and the number of true off market sales is increasing every year.
