I’ll be honest—I was disappointed with myself. Living in a place like Dubai, with access to resources and knowing people who had gone through similar procedures, I still didn’t push harder to investigate my condition.

Some clinics I visited treated my situation so casually that I never felt the urgency to act. And if your doctor doesn’t emphasize the severity, how can you fully grasp what’s at stake?

Looking back, I realize ignorance isn’t bliss—it’s dangerous. Still, I’m grateful. Grateful that despite the obstacles of the past decade, I finally took charge of my health. And grateful for the support I didn’t even know I had—family, faith, and even unexpected tools like ChatGPT—that helped me find clarity and strength in the middle of confusion.
