A thought I can’t shake today 💭:

Smart people don’t always struggle because they don’t know what to do.
They struggle because they can’t always agree on how to do it—together. 

I came across a clip of Jack Ma sharing a blunt observation (paraphrased): sometimes less capable teams collaborate faster, while highly capable teams clash—not because they lack competence, but because alignment is harder than execution.

And this is where emotional intelligence becomes a performance skill, not a “soft” one.

EI is what allows high performers to:
	•	communicate a vision without triggering defensiveness
	•	disagree without turning the room political
	•	give feedback without creating resistance
	•	build trust fast enough for speed to follow

Because the truth is: vision isn’t only what you see. It’s what others understand well enough to build with you.
