🎓 Admission Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree + prerequisite courses
• GRE or MCAT
• 3 letters of recommendation
• Shadowing hours with an Anesthesiologist, AA, or CRNA
• (Highly recommended) Medical work/volunteer & patient care experience

📌 Application Tips
• Any major works! Science majors just overlap better with prereqs.
• A strong GPA in both prereqs + a unique major can help you stand out.
• Most prereqs expire after 5–7 years.
• Applying to med school too? Take the MCAT. Otherwise, focus on a strong GRE score.

👩‍⚕️ Shadowing Advice
• OR access is tough—but possible! The more hours, the more competitive you’ll be.
• Ask questions, take detailed notes (surgeries, drugs, techniques).
• Network, volunteer, email anesthesia departments & professional orgs… and follow up!
• Think outside the box: hospitals, outpatient clinics, dental, veterinary, etc.
