I had to go to a different country for surgery. Imagine not speaking the language, relating on google translate, carrying fear, and placing your trust in someone you’d only met over a Zoom call.

Yet, the kindness of my doctor carried me through. From the first consultation to the moment I landed for my ultrasound, he was honest about the urgency and transparent about what to expect. No surprises, no sugarcoating—just truth and care.

We were both a little afraid, but he honored every word he had given me. And for that, I’ll always be grateful. Sometimes healing begins not with certainty, but with trust.
