I don’t usually share deeply personal things here, but this is one I can’t keep quiet about anymore. For over 12 years, I stayed silent about something that changed my life — until surgery taught me the importance of speaking up.

My journey isn’t just about recovery or learning to administer my own medication. It’s about discovering a tumor that, thankfully, was benign, but still requires annual monitoring. It’s about facing fears I never expected, in a country so far from where I grew up.

This experience has been more than physical — it’s been a mental and spiritual transformation. And while it’s my story, I believe it carries meaning for every woman out there who may one day face something similar.
