Measuring Happiness, a thought that lingers in my mind. How do we measure happiness? Is there one universal formula, or does it vary? Vary by age, by environment, or can we make it a constant steady.… and does our ideas of happiness simplify ever? Is it tied to ambition and big dreams? And even then, who is that for? Is the idea of happiness just layers and layers of unwanted, unsolicited advice from society that’s stuck on us like glue? Is it really just very simple, so simple that we can’t comprehend it because we’ve been conditioned to be in a constant state of stimuli ….? And most importantly, have we as a collective along with the system been on a loop cycle of a poster narrative that perhaps no longer serves us??

I used to struggle with this a lot when I was younger, an internal battle between the simple desires of soul self against the societal pressure of accumulating accolades and such. After many trial and error on my own search for this happiness we all seek, I’ve always circled back to the inner knowing that happiness is already innate in the soul self, a peace, and piece waiting to be accepted, to be allowed, to be happy through observation alone of what the universe has provided us with… It’s our physical beings aged that have been so diluted with noise of what it all should be, tricking us into searching outside of ourselves for it, like a puppy circling to chase it’s own tail.

So how do you measure happiness, and maybe the better question is what is happiness to you?
