Now, before I tell you why this is so hilarious… I first want to say what a privilege it was to work with both nickwooster and mikaelkennedy on this sofa for Nick’s place in LA.

Soon after I first met Nick in New York we were moving a military sofa up 10 flights of stairs clipping the walls on every corner 😂 and years later when Nick was moving apartments he had to cut his sofa into 3 pieces. Which gave us the idea to start offering our (now very popular 3 piece sofa) so I was surprised to hear that for Nick’s next sofa, he assured me it would fit. 
*Disclaimer… I too always think we can make things fit. Where there is a will, there is a way!

But upon arriving with this 3 seat sofa (with a beautiful polished nickel frame) and realizing that with every effort we couldn’t get it up the stairwell, we had to conjure up a little creativity.

I love when clients are down to take risks, it makes for such a better story. This sofa made from a rare vintage rug sourced by kingkennedyrugs now has a new life with Nick.

We had a good conversation about creativity, fashion, furniture and more which sadly (RIP) died on failed hard drive but maybe we’ll get together this year and record something again.
