As a photographer, I often have the heartfelt privilege of entering other people's lives, being invited in, and spending a day in their shoes. 

With careful, attentive observation through the lens, a new world opens up, and tender moments of life become a lifetime of stories. 

Here, while in Sicily, I found this family altar in a restaurant kitchen, allowing me to travel through time alongside this lovely family and, in my imagination, live a day in their life. 
A day I loved, one that affirmed the importance of family
