CONTROL VS FREEDOM
Giving up control is really 
giving into your own sovereignty. 
You aren’t really giving anything up because you never had control 
to begin with. 
That’s the illusion part. 

When I realized I was gay, 
my main objective was 
to control how I  was perceived. 
Running from shame 
and efforting my way through life. 
That’s not sustainable. 
I  didn’t understand that 
what I was really looking 
for was freedom. 

36 hours into a 48 hour fast,
A New Moon in Virgo,
I  once again, stripped away 
noise from my mind and body.
It landed in a way where 
I could see it, and feel it. 

A palpable shift from concept to truth. 

I could see that 
while we were all desperately 
wanting to control our circumstances, 
our environments and our relationships, what we were truly seeking 
was freedom. 
Freedom to be, authentic. 
Freedom to experience. 
Freedom to create and think. 
Freedom to love whomever we choose.
