Meet the cast of "for colored girls," coming to The Appel Room on April 6th as part of our American Songbook series.

@nataliebrownmusic, in collaboration with Lincoln Center Visionary Artist Jeanine Tesori, brings new dimensions to Ntozake Shange’s choreopoem "for colored girls who have considered suicide / when the rainbow is enuf" just in time for its 50th anniversary with this reimagined musical treatment. Directed by @helloellenore, this presentation honors the original work's groundbreaking impact while boldly reframing it for a contemporary audience.
