🧐 Under a microscope, mold reveals a fascinating and complex structure that's invisible to the naked eye. What appears as simple fuzzy spots to our eyes transforms into an intricate network of structures:⁠
The most prominent features are the hyphae - thin, thread-like filaments that form the main body of the mold. These interweaving strands create a network called mycelium, which spreads across surfaces as the mold grows.⁠

At certain points along the hyphae, you'll see structures called conidiophores - specialized stalks that rise vertically from the mycelium. At their tips are spore-producing structures that create and release the reproductive spores.⁠
