🏋️‍♂️ Training Volume: How Much is Enough?

Not all athletes should train the same way. Your training volume should match your experience level to build strength, avoid burnout, and keep progressing.

Here’s a simple breakdown 👇

🟢 Beginner (0–1 year training)
Focus: Learning movement & building a base
• Squats – 2–3 sets x 8–12 reps
• Push-ups or DB Bench – 2–3 sets x 8–12 reps
• Rows – 2–3 sets x 8–12 reps
• RDLs – 2–3 sets x 8–10 reps
• Planks – 2–3 sets x 20–30 sec

➡️ ~8–10 total working sets per workout

—

🟡 Intermediate (1–3 years training)
Focus: Strength development & work capacity
• Squats – 3–4 sets x 6–10 reps
• Bench Press – 3–4 sets x 6–10 reps
• Pull-ups / Rows – 3–4 sets x 6–10 reps
• RDL / Deadlift – 3–4 sets x 6–8 reps
• Core Work – 3–4 sets

➡️ ~12–16 total working sets per workout

—

🔴 Advanced (3+ years training)
Focus: Performance & maximizing adaptation
• Squats – 4–5 sets x 4–8 reps
• Bench Press – 4–5 sets x 4–8 reps
• Weighted Pull-ups / Rows – 4–5 sets
• Deadlifts – 4–5 sets
• Accessory Work – 3–4 sets each

➡️ ~16–22+ total working sets per workout

—

⚠️ More volume isn’t always better.
The goal is progressive overload + recovery, not just doing more.

Train smart. Recover well. Stay consistent.
