22 years ago, MF DOOM and Madlib released their joint album 'Madvillainy.'⁠ ⁠ The beats were largely crafted in a hotel room in Brazil using nothing but a Boss SP-303 sampler, a turntable, and a tape deck.⁠ ⁠ Yasiin Bey, a self-proclaimed DOOM fan, bought the album on vinyl despite not having a record player: "MF DOOM rhymes as weird as I feel [...] I bought it on vinyl just to stare at the album.
