## Caption

Green keel-bellied lizards have a pretty cool way of scaring away predators! opening their mouth and wiggling their bright red tongue. Merlin doesn’t do it often (which is good! I don’t want to scare him) but it is interesting to see when he does. 

Reptiles have some interesting ways to keep themselves safe beyond camouflage, hiding, and actual physical protection!
