At Seoul Shilla Hotel (shillahotels), Michelin 2-star Korean fine dining spot “La Yeon” is betting on the ingredients.

La Yeon isn’t just serving high-end Korean food—it’s about pushing the potential of native ingredients. Gueok cabbage, perilla seeds, traditional rice… familiar names, but elevated to a whole different level.

At the core is their farm-to-table system. Chefs visit farms, oversee how ingredients are grown, and even take part in harvesting and selection—so everything is intentional from start to finish.

And honestly, that’s what sets it apart. No unnecessary tricks—just clean, deep flavors that let the ingredients speak, while still hitting that global fine dining level.

They also recently hosted a four-hands gala dinner with temple cuisine master Jeong Kwan, highlighting native ingredients—both nights sold out.
