For Jack O’Neill, Creighton is all about engagement. He says a sense of community runs strong here, and not just within the student body. “The professors and staff are excited about student success and are always willing to help,” he says, citing extensive assistance to establish his +ONE energy drink business. He credits the Greisch Center for Enterprise Value’s director Nathan Preheim and Heider College of Business Dean Anthony Hendrickson, PhD, with both business plan guidance and connections to local and alumni investors.

Jack, a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences, was initially drawn to Creighton for its strong pre-med program. But after visiting campus and meeting many students and faculty, he quickly discovered Creighton’s welcoming atmosphere alongside nationally recognized academic programming.

His goal of attending medical school is strengthened by the Pre-Professional Scholars Program, which provides specific advising for aspiring professionals. “Someone considering Creighton should know how supportive everyone on campus is,” he says.
