Top 3 UK staycation spots for Easter (perfect for a day trip or last-minute overnight)

If you’re stuck for ideas or want something easy with kids, these are genuinely worth it:

1. Longleat Safari Park longleatofficial 
An easy win. You can do it in a day or stay nearby (loads of great Airbnbs and farm stays), but if you want to go all in, you can stay on the Longleat Estate itself (luxury cottages/lodges). Proper family experience, and the safari never gets old.

2. Taporley, Cheshire – shacks.co 
Off-grid, sustainable cabins (yes, compost loos), but ideal for a family break — the kids LOVED it. Total freedom, safe, outdoorsy, back-to-nature vibes. Big windows, wildlife outside, slow mornings. 

3. Isle of Wight – Tapnell Farm tapnellfarm tomsecolodge tapnellfarmpark 
We’ve been twice already this year… and the kids still want to go back (even with Sweden booked this Easter they want to go afterwards 😅).
Tapnell Farm is a dream with kids — soft play, outdoor activities, animals, Easter events, and The Cow restaurant on site. Fresh eggs in the morning, loads to do, and some cabins have hot tubs which = proper parent wind-down.
A nice visit is iowrarebreedscic  which cater really well for SEND too 

It’s one of those places that reminds you how good a UK holiday can be.
