It’s Flex Friday!

That couldn’t be more true for me :)

I have been fortunate to have access to home gym equipment during the pandemic and the gym shutdown.

This however, was my first time back at the actual gym since January 28.
Due to a health set-back (that was out of my control). I was sidelined for all of February and March. For several of those weeks I could barely walk. I had an IV bag attached to my arm for many of those weeks.

I was deflated and knew I had a lot of work to do to get back to my usual self.

I never lost my determination though. As soon as I could, I started working out again at home.
That day was March 30.

It helped keep me positive during unprecedented times. The constant barrage of negative news and concern for the health and and well being of family, friends and society as a whole was draining.

I have the love and support of my family, but fitness and getting back to it, was incredibly therapeutic.

I slowly built my strength back up, and those months are behind me.

I was so happy to get back to the actual gym today. To see the faces of regulars and new members. The gym looks different right now. But just being there brought back some “normal” and I loved seeing others who were clearly so happy to be back.

I have helped almost 500 women in my program since February. It has been a focus and a joy. It has been incredibly rewarding to have been a positive for so many who are going through their own battles and challenges.  It love getting updates and messages from my clients sharing their success. It’s not always about losing weight. It’s also getting stronger both mentally and physically. It’s finding the best version of yourself and gaining back the spark and energy.

I doesn’t matter where you are right now.  If you haven’t exercised in months. If you are not happy with how you are fuelling your body,  just start!
Even the smallest change will benefit.
You will progress.
You will get stronger and the mental and physical benefits are priceless.
