## Caption

Driving late at night in North Carolina, a witness reported seeing what appeared to be a bleeding man on the side of the road, possibly dressed in a damaged Civil War uniform with what looked like a severe head wound. Moments later the witness saw a figure described as having a pale, snow white face, sunken eyes, and skin stretched tightly over its skull. This image stunned him when something then jumped into the bed of his truck moments later. ⬇️
Potential possibilities - if you narrow it down by the region and folklore alone, these are the two possibilities that I keep coming back to and they are both pretty frightening. 🫣

🌕The Moon Eyed People from Cherokee legend were described as small, pale skinned figures with sensitive, unusual eyes who preferred darkness and were said to live in caves, mainly emerging at night. 
😱The Pale Crawlers, modern cryptid lore are reported as humanoids with pale, corpse like skin, often sighted at night and in wooded areas.
