BACKSTORY- In February 2010, 21-year-old Julia Murray from Glynn County, Georgia, called 911 at 9:50 a.m., calmly reporting she had drowned her two children, 4-year-old Ansli and 2-year-old Creighton, in a bathtub at their home. During the call, she shot herself in the chest with a family-owned .357 Magnum revolver. Police found Murray mortally wounded and the children in their bedroom, still wet from the drowning. Ansli was deceased, while Creighton was breathing and survived after hospitalization. Murray died at 11:57 a.m., and Ansli at 10:44 a.m. No motive was provided in the 911 call, and no note was found. The family, including Murray’s mother and sister who lived with them, reported no warning signs. Creighton recovered fully, and Murray and Ansli were buried together after a joint funeral.
