”For Future India,” an environmentalist youth organization, has made its mark in the International Book of Records by achieving three remarkable feats.

Over the past four years, “For Future India” has diligently organized beach cleanup campaigns every Saturday and Sunday to enhance the beauty of our natural surroundings. To date, they have successfully conducted over 1850 tonnes of plastic and waste removal campaigns at Uttan, Velankani, Manori, and Gorai beaches, engaging more than 1 lakh volunteers in 284 cleaning activities. In addition to these beach cleanup efforts, has effectively implemented cleaning and conservation initiatives in numerous Mnagrove forest areas across Mumbai, Thane, and Mira Bhayandar.

World Coastal Cleanup Day is celebrated on 3rd Saturday of September every year, on this occasion on Saturday 16th September 2023, ‘For Future India’ organized Mega Beach Cleanup Drive at Uttan Beach Mira Bhayander, with support of go_shoonya Go Shoonya, mangrove_foundation Mangrove Foundation - Maharashtra Forest Department, NSS Cell mumbau University. More than 6500 volunteers participated in this grand cleanliness drive, removed 46 tons of garbage in 2 hours and managed to recycle 500 kg of plastic at the same place. Taking note of this grand cleanliness campaign, 3 book records have been registered in the name of ‘For Future India’, an environmentalist youth organization, in the International Book of Records.
