If It’s Not A “FUCK YES” It’s A “FUCK NO”⁣

As a dating coach, I get asked all the time by clients and friends what they should do about people they feel “meh” about or that they “really like, BUT…” ⁣
⁣
These statements are usually followed by a monologue of unsolicited justification about why this person is so great… but who are they REALLY trying to convince? HINT: it’s not me. ⁣
⁣
There are many reasons why these “meh” people might seem appealing.⁣
⁣
To name a few:⁣
⁣
1.  Saying no to this “meh” person means being alone for the foreseeable future…⁣ ➡️ Just because you are around people doesn’t mean you aren’t alone. Also, if you’re with the wrong person, you’re probably not fully allowing yourself to be vulnerable and present, and that’s pretty lonely ⁣
⁣
2. Technically, there’s no *good reason* for you NOT be head over heels about this person, they’re perfect on paper!⁣ ➡️ What’s perfect on paper doesn’t equal what’s perfect in the real world you actually have to live in. ⁣
⁣
3. This “meh” person is better than all the other options at the moment ➡️ How hard are you actually looking? People spend 20mins on Tinder a week & get upset they aren’t getting results . If you spend 20mins a week on your job, how successful would you be at it?⁣
⁣
4.  Staying with this “meh” person *seems* like the right thing to do.⁣ ➡️ I do my taxes because it’s the “right thing to do.” ⁣
⁣
And while all of these reasons might appear legit, what I’d like to reflect back to you is: Time is your most valuable commodity. How do you want to spend it?  It’s your life.⁣ When it comes to the person you decide to date seriously (or any other important life decision for that matter), I’m a firm believer that if it’s not a “FUCK YES” it’s a “FuCK NO.”⁣

Relationships are important. If you are choosing ONE person to commit your time & energy to, THEY BETTER BE REALLY FREAKING AWESOME. ⁣This “F*CK YES” Rule really simplifies life decisions. I highly recommend it.⁣
