‘Key to the Streets’ YFN Lucci ft. Migos, Trouble (2016)

“Key to the Streets” was released on February 23, 2016, as the third single from YFN Lucci’s mixtape Wish Me Well 2, featuring Quavo and Takeoff from Migos, as well as Atlanta rapper Trouble.  The track was produced by Texas-based producer June James, who crafted a dark, melodic trap instrumental that perfectly complemented Lucci’s signature sung-rap delivery — a style heavily influenced by the streets of Atlanta’s Summerhill neighborhood where he grew up.

The song marked YFN Lucci’s first-ever entry on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 70, and was eventually certified Platinum by the RIAA, cementing it as his breakthrough record.  The official music video dropped on June 24, 2016, on Lucci’s Vevo channel, and the record’s momentum carried into a massive remix that September featuring 2 Chainz, Lil Wayne, and Quavo — a strong co-sign that introduced Lucci to a much wider audience.
