‘I’m Sprung’ T-Pain (2005)

“I’m Sprung” is the debut single written, produced, and performed by T‑Pain (Faheem Najm), released on August 16, 2005, through Konvict Muzik and Jive Records.  The track served as the lead single for his debut studio album, Rappa Ternt Sanga, which followed on December 6, 2005.  It is widely recognized as the record that popularized the innovative use of Auto‑Tune in mainstream R&B and hip‑hop, establishing T‑Pain’s signature melodic sound and setting a new trend for vocal processing in the mid‑2000s.

On the Billboard charts, “I’m Sprung” was a significant commercial success, peaking at number eight on the Hot 100 and number nine on the Hot R&B/Hip‑Hop Songs chart.
