Produced by Scott Storch and written by Ne‑Yo (Shaffer Smith), Kameron Houff, and Storch, it’s built around a simple promise that hits every time: consistency over chaos.

Released Oct. 4, 2004, the song went on to hold No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for nine consecutive weeks in early 2005 and also reached No. 1 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.  It earned Mario a Grammy nomination for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance, landed on Billboard’s “All-Time Top 100 Hot 100” list, and even became a massive ringtone-era hit with 1.6 million downloads.
