A world champion, Olympic medalist, and a leading advocate for motherhood protections in athletics. 🏆

Alysia’s (alysiamontano) race challenged outdated perceptions of motherhood and became a defining moment in her career. 

She has since pushed for stronger contract protections for athlete mothers and founded For All Mothers+ (forallmothersorg), a nonprofit dedicated to eliminating the motherhood penalty. 

Her advocacy has helped fight pregnancy discrimination in sponsorship contracts and secure lactation accommodations for athletes at the Olympic Games. 👏

Most recently, she received the Wilma Rudolph Courage Award from the Women’s Sports Foundation, presented by the daughter she was pregnant with during that race. 🥹💞

Alysia Montaño is making Future History by challenging discriminatory practices and breaking down barriers so mothers can thrive in both their careers and motherhood.
