I was ready to give up my whisks and toying with the idea to go back to corporate part time and to focus more on raising Ben. In the most effing way, towards the end of 2024 is probably one of the most fun period of my pastry life, creating new concepts such as Masterclass, Degustation Nights, and more intricate desserts. I also grew closer and closer to my family this year. I saw my parents and brother in such a different light that they are now new uncle and grandparents. Their dedication to support me and their abundant of love to Ben is something that warms my heart like never before. This year’s Christmas and New Year is the first in so many years (I can’t even remember) that we spent together, exchanging gifts, hearty lunch, BBQ and all. In short, 2024 was a year of growth, self-reflection, self-actualisation, learning and family. I could never imagine that I would be the person I am today when I started 2024. I am now looking at 2025 from a completely different perspective than how I used to look into other previous New Years. I am not setting any β€œgoals”. I am curious. I am more relaxed. For I know that everything would pass. As long as I give it my best shot, as long as I have my family support, as long as I have my husband next to me and Ben’s smile that greets me every morning, I know I can face the hardest. Because 2024 was.
