New video from bellflight of the V-280 Valor tiltrotor demonstrating low-speed agility. The aircraft successfully met the U.S. Army’s Level 1 Handling Qualities requirements, the latest milestone for the demonstrator that has already logged more than 110 flight hours and achieved a top speed above 300 knots. Other accomplishments in the flight test program so far: >50-degree banked turns ✅ 4,500 feet per minute rate of climb ✅ sustained flight at 11,500 feet ✅ single flight ferry of over 370 miles ✅ in-flight transitions between cruise mode and VTOL ✅
