Nottingham Forest vs Malmo - European Cup Final 1979.
For much of the first half, Forest struggled to break through Malmö’s defensive block and offside trap. The breakthrough began on the left wing:
The Winger's Run: 
John Robertson, widely considered one of Europe's most dangerous wingers at the time, received the ball on the left-hand side.
Beating the Defense: 
Robertson successfully beat two Malmö defenders to reach the byline near the corner flag.
The Delivery: 
He whipped a high, outswinging cross toward the far post. Contemporary reports note that Malmö goalkeeper Jan Möller, who had been solid throughout the half, hesitated and chose not to come out to intercept the ball.
Francis’s Run:
Trevor Francis, playing in his first-ever European match following his £1 million transfer, made a powerful late run from the right channel toward the back post to meet the cross.
The Finish:
Even though the cross was dropping deep, Francis increased his pace and threw himself at the ball. He connected with a plunging, "stooping" header that sent the ball high into the roof of the net.
The Impact:
The goal effectively settled the match. Commentator Barry Davies famously noted at the time that the "million-pound man" had just paid back a significant portion of his transfer fee with a single header..
