India just rolled out its first Vande Bharat Sleeper – high-speed dreams on rails, modern coaches, PM’s inaugural flag-off, overnight connectivity goals... all the headlines screamed progress. 🚄✨ 

And then, within mere hours of the maiden run (Howrah–Guwahati via Kamakhya), the viral videos started dropping: 
Wrappers flying like confetti, tea cups doing the floor tango, food scraps decorating seats like unwanted art installation.

We built a world-class train… but apparently forgot to upgrade the most important part – the human software. 

It’s heartbreaking to watch something so promising get trashed so quickly. Not because the Railways failed (they delivered shiny new coaches), but because too many of us still treat public property like our personal dustbin. 

Yes, fines, AI cameras, PNR-linked penalties, stricter enforcement – all of that is needed. 
But at the end of the day, no amount of technology or policing can substitute basic civic sense. 

We deserve better trains. 
We also deserve better citizens. 

The real journey isn’t just about speed — it’s about growing up as a society. 

Until then… our shiny new toys will keep getting old really, really fast.
