वाराणसी के मणिकर्णिका घाट पर प्राचीन मंदिर-संरचनाएँ तोड़ी गईं! 

काशी के पवित्र महाश्मशान मणिकर्णिका घाट पर विकास कार्य के नाम पर बुलडोजर चला दिया गया। पुरानी मूर्तियाँ, देवी अहिल्याबाई होल्कर की ऐतिहासिक प्रतिमा और घाट का हिस्सा ध्वस्त होने की खबरों से हंगामा मच गया है। 

प्रशासन का दावा: कोई पौराणिक मंदिर नहीं तोड़ा गया, बस चबूतरा हटाया गया। मूर्तियाँ सुरक्षित रखी गई हैं और बाद में दोबारा लगाई जाएँगी। 

लेकिन विपक्ष और स्थानीय लोग गुस्से में हैं! मल्लिकार्जुन खड़गे ने PM मोदी पर निशाना साधा - “धरोहर मिटाकर सिर्फ नामपट्टिका लगवाना चाहते हैं?” प्रियंका गांधी ने इसे “गंभीर अपराध” बताया।
