“Met on Bumble → chatted for a year → met in person → dinner → OYO → intimacy → dropped home next morning → FIR for rape the very next day.

Court saw the chats, saw the timeline, saw the pattern… and quashed the case.

The judge’s visible shock in that clip says more than words ever could.

Look — real survivors of sexual violence deserve every bit of protection, empathy, and swift justice our system can give. That should never be questioned.

But when clear digital footprints show mutual intent and the allegation flips overnight… it forces everyone to pause.

Because every time a case like this gets highlighted, the shadow of doubt falls a little heavier on genuine victims who are already fighting uphill battles to be believed.

Dating apps brought convenience, but also new layers of risk — for both sides.

Maybe the real conversation we need isn’t just “men vs women”… but how do we build clearer, more honest boundaries in a world where one click can become a year-long legal nightmare for someone, and lifelong trauma for someone else if justice fails.

Consent is not a grey area. But weaponising law in the name of regret… is dangerously close to one.

What do you think — is the system protecting victims, or slowly eroding trust in real complaints?
