Thailand 🇹🇭 is one of the most magical places on Earth — a mix of stunning islands, ancient temples, and endless nightlife.

But to enjoy this paradise without any stress, every traveller must know a few important “NOT-to-do” rules.
#These are real, updated, and super important for 2025/2026 🌴✨

🚫 1. Don’t drink alcohol during restricted hours.
Thailand has tightened its alcohol laws. Most shops and restaurants can sell alcohol only between 11 AM–2 PM and 5 PM–midnight. Drinking outside permitted hours can lead to fines, so always check before ordering. 🍻⏰

🚭 2. Don’t use or carry vapes/e-cigarettes.
Vaping is completely illegal in Thailand. Even carrying a vape can lead to confiscation, fines, or trouble at immigration. Better not take it at all. ❌💨

👑 3. Don’t disrespect the Thai Royal Family.
Thailand has very strict lèse-majesté laws. Avoid jokes, negative comments, or discussions about the monarchy — even online. Stay respectful. 🇹🇭👑

🙏 4. Don’t enter temples dressed improperly.
Temples are sacred places. Cover shoulders and knees, remove shoes, and avoid loud behaviour. Dressing right shows your respect for Thai culture. 🛕✨

🦶 5. Don’t touch anyone’s head or point feet at monks or Buddha images.
The head is considered sacred and feet are considered low. Pointing your feet at people or Buddha statues can be taken as disrespect. Stay mindful while sitting or taking photos. 📸😇

🛵 6. Don’t rent a scooter without an international licence.
Police checks are common. Riding without the correct licence can lead to fines or your bike being taken away. Safety first. 🛵💥

🛂 7. Don’t overstay your visa.
Even a 1-day overstay can lead to fines or future entry problems. Always track your visa validity. 📅✔️

⸻

Which point do you think tourists ignore the most?
