Did you know that one of the major causes of diseases in dogs could be right in front of you?!​​​​​​​​​	If you struggle with an overweight pup, feeding your dog a species appropriate diet that is high in protein and low in carbohydrates is one of the easiest ways to help get your dog back to a normal body condition. Though exercise is an important part of maintaining a good body weight, diet impacts fat accumulation much more effectively. Remember that treats should only make up 10% of your dogs daily caloric intake!
	Besides reducing your dog's weight, you can also include anti-inflammatory supplements or foods that are rich in antioxidants. These types of foods reduce free radicals which are a main cause of inflammation.
