I’ve encountered alot folks standing stuck, middle of nowhere waiting for help for hours n hours. Having basic recovery gears is absolutely must. It wouldn’t cost hardly anything but having them is pretty handy. It can save not only yourself as well as others too.

Keeping things organized is such an important step when it comes to camping/overlanding. I had alot of gears all over the place. So i built a DYI setup (mounted on the tailgate door - Fj cruiser) where everything has a place & everything in it’s place 😎🛠 🪓. It was astronomical effort to source materials as bits & pieces. But it turns out to be well worth i guess.

Loading with alot of weight certainty not the best strategy if you wanted to keep your car as daily driver as it decreases your fuel economy. Therefore, choosing what to keep and what’s not is important. 

My setup consist of three type of essentials:

1)	Safety ⛑ 
Safety should be your no.1 priority, especially when you're out there in the wild. Basic first aid kit, extinguishers, fire blanket and may be some tactical gears, just in case if you encounters a threat (i've encountered such one in the past in middle of nowhere (robbery) as a form of asking for help and start attacking. My axe did a good job though 😛

2)	Recovery 🪢
Such as traction board, recovery straps/ropes, tire punchers kit, shovel, jump starter cables etc.

3)	Shelter / Lighting / Others ⛺️ 💡 🔦 🪓 
This of course consist of tent, chairs, shades, tables, fire pit stuff, lightings etc.
