The reason most brands’ content struggles online is simple:
their content research strategies are outdated.

Too much research still focuses on:

- what’s trending
- which formats perform best
- who the top influencers are

That tells you what’s popular.
It doesn’t tell you what your audience actually wants.

Meanwhile, we now have access to real data that shows:

- what people are searching for on Google and Bing
- the questions and prompts they’re asking inside AI tools
- who is driving that demand (age and gender)
- and where that demand exists (location)

When content research isn’t grounded in actual demand, content peaks briefly… then disappears.

In 2026, content needs to be built for discovery — not just distribution.

That means research has to align with how people search, discover, and decide today.

I break down how content research should actually be done — and what needs to be aligned to drive better online and offline marketing outcomes — Link in bio for full article.

If your content isn’t compounding, the fix doesn’t start with posting more.

It starts with better research.
