LIONS OVERWHELM MONARCHS: The jserra.beachvolleyball team closed out the first half of Trinity League action in triumphant fashion on Tuesday, as the Lions blanked the Mater Dei Monarchs 5-0 at JSerra Catholic High School.

The Lions are now 12-2 overall on the season and 3-0 in league play.

Senior Catherine Beadles and junior Berit Brinkema produced the day’s most exciting win, as the duo claimed a three-set victory by scores of 21-13, 19-21, and 15-11.

Seniors Sara Moynihan and Presley Johnson teamed for wins of 21-10 and 21-7, senior Skylar Noble and sophomore Ava Champagne were victorious by scores of 21-13 and 21-9, juniors Sarah Thorp and Lyla Gerstenberger earned wins of 21-9 and 21-12, and juniors Kaitlyn Dostert and Hollie Hooper claimed victories of 21-15 and 21-16.
