Yesterday I sat across the table from one of my great customers. It had been a while since I had last seen him so before we got into our tech talk, he filled me in on the latest and greatest with his four kids. 
He spoke about his oldest daughter with great pride. As a sophomore, she had not made the cut for the JV soccer team. She was incredibly disappointed, so he encouraged her to try out for water polo instead, a sport she had never played. She HATED it at first, but stuck with it. Fast forward to end of the season and she had earned herself a starting spot… on the VARSITY team! He went on to say how hard she was working and how much fun she was having. Then he said, “on top of all of that, she’s lost two dress sizes! It has been so great to watch her body confidence improve. She is so strong and more confident than I have ever seen her.” I wish I could describe the look in his eyes. It was a special conversation. Did I mention that she was also excelling in the classroom?
It is amazing what can happen in your life when you start to love your body… It’s a snow ball effect. You recognize that you deserve to put yourself first, you schedule time to exercise, you start to get leaner and stronger, you begin to love your body more, your confidence improves, your attitude improves, other people start to notice, you believe in yourself and your abilities, you go for that promotion or you ask that girl out you’ve been crushing on for months. All of these things start with a little sweat equity. It doesn’t matter if you’re a 15 year old girl or a 55 year old woman; you deserve to love your body.
So don’t give up, keep pushing through the hard days, you deserve it.
