I’ve carried babies before, but the physicality of twins is something I’ve never experienced. When I actually listen to the bed rest my body clearly needs, I do okay. But the moment I try to do anything else? The pelvic pressure, the heartburn, the lack of sleep… I’m literally in tears.

The only place my body feels normal right now is in water. Being weightless is priceless.

And now that I’m just six days away from 36 weeks—when I can safely have my home birth—I’m finally prioritizing my mental and physical health above everything else.

Anyone else feel instantly human again the second they get in water?
