First day drop off: smooth as butter.
And of course, that left both Brit and me sobbing in the parking lot — full of pride, full of joy, and fully wondering how we blinked and ended up here.

Thea? She gave us the biggest bear hugs, walked up the ramp to her classroom like she owned the place, and never looked back.

When we picked her up, she didn’t just say it was a good day.
She said: “It was the BEST day of school.”
Cue the tears (again).

Nathan? He put on his brave face and marched into K like a gentle warrior.

Even though he’s been at the school before, and even though he knew his teachers and saw familiar faces — those butterflies? Still expected. Still real.

But no tears. No clinging. Just giggles and that signature grin.

And in those moments, I swear I could still see his baby face — that newborn smile — peeking through his five-year-old body.

I know I said I was ready for summer to end…
But this? This moment right here? It’s everything.

Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it.
For this school.
These teachers.
This way of learning and living that sees our kids for who they are.
Waldorf isn’t just our kids’ education — it’s a whole family rhythm. And today, that rhythm hit just right. 💛
