Infertility doesn’t always look like test tubes and lab coats. Sometimes, it looks like two women. Missing one ingredient. Doing everything they can to build a family.

I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2013. I’ve worked to understand my body, to heal it, to support it — all while navigating the extra hurdles of being in a same-sex marriage.

We’ve experienced what’s called circumstantial infertility — the inability to conceive without medical assistance, due to biology. That alone should qualify us for care. For funding. For empathy. For access.

I’m grateful to live where queer-friendly clinics are as common as Starbucks. But not everyone has that.

So today, I’m standing with everyone experiencing infertility — of every kind.
