Today is Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Seventeen years ago, I stood on the soil of Poland, bearing witness to the remnants of a nightmare—a reality where 6 million Jews, entire families, generations, and communities, were systematically murdered and wiped off the face of this earth.

The world said, “Never again.” And yet, 80 years later, antisemitism is once again rearing its ugly head in ways that feel shocking, heartbreaking, and deeply personal.

It’s impossible not to draw parallels to today. The war in Gaza, the cries for justice, and the unspeakable pain of our hostages still being held far from home weigh heavily on the hearts of so many. For us as Jewish people, the trauma of our past is not a distant memory—it lives on in our DNA, a reminder of both what was lost and what must be protected.

Despite the Holocaust, despite all that has been stolen from us, the Jewish people have never recovered our numbers. And yet, we endure. We persevere. We hold on to hope.

Today, we remember those who were taken. We honor their lives by speaking out against hate in all its forms. By fighting for freedom and humanity. By bringing light into a world that so often feels dark.

Because to remember is to ensure that “never again” is not just a promise—it’s a mission.

And while the weight of the past and the challenges of the present feel heavy, there is one thing we will never lose: our hope. Our resilience. Our belief that we can and will build a better world for our children and for generations to come.

May the memories of the 6 million always be a blessing. And may we see peace and freedom for all soon. 🎗️
