Since I moved to Berlin I even more appreciate the CLEAN and well structured environment in Hamburg. Berlin is more like "chaos", politics, artsy people and historic buildings which are mostly museums or for politicians.
Hamburg is full of good musicals like Lion King and has a classic harbor city culture, nice modern architecture and water everywhere in the city center. I think it's the perfect place to live when you want to settle down cause I can't think of ANY higher living standards worldwide when it comes to important aspects like salaries, living costs, insurance, space, education, transportation, ... It's relatively cheap comparing to what you get for your money in other big cities.
The ONLY reason why some people would not like to live here is the nordic weather - and that's okay because it means the city can grow slowly enough to remain developing districts in a proper way. I just love the new elbphilharmonie #elbphilharmonie in the background and I don't care of you don't. ;)
