Great wines aren’t accidental. 😎🍷

Tonight’s bottle: axrnapavalley
AXR Proprietary Red 2021 — Napa Valley

Brought to my table by californianwines_eu 🇺🇸, delivering some of the most exciting labels from California across Europe 🌍✈️📦.

A Cabernet-driven blend that reflects both history and vision, built to excite the world.

The name AXR 🏆 comes from the historic AxR1 rootstock that shaped Napa’s evolution, a reminder that resilience and innovation are part of this region’s DNA.

Led by Swiss-born winemaker Jean Hoefliger — trained from Bordeaux to California — AXR stands at the intersection of tradition and forward thinking.

This blend is composed of 🍇: 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, supported by 15% Malbec, 7% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. It’s not just mixing grapes; it’s composition and control.

In the glass 🍷, it reveals a deep ruby color, followed by aromas of blackberry, plum and blackcurrant, layered with subtle violet, cocoa and spice.

On the palate 😋, it’s full-bodied yet refined, with silky tannins that unfold into a long, structured finish. Powerful, but focused. Bold, yet elegant.

Like a team with a captain, when every variety plays its role, you don’t taste individual grapes, you taste structure, balance and definition.

That’s what makes a blend truly compelling.

Are you TeamVarietal or TeamBlend?

Save this for next time someone asks. ✨🔍✨
