In the Douro, winemaking doesn’t start with machines — it starts with music. 🎶🎼🎶

For more than 300 years, every harvest has begun with teams 👯👯‍♀️ stepping into the lagares (large tanks) and crushing grapes in rhythm, a choreography passed down through generations. 

Why the rhythm? 🤔

Because moving together ensures an even, gentle extraction:

• Color without bitterness
• Aromas without harsh edges
• Texture shaped by human touch

And here’s the most beautiful part 🍷:

Even today, many top Port houses and premium Douro producers still use this ancient method, trusting human feet over any machine for their most expressive wines.

This tradition is the foundation of two of Portugal’s greatest expressions:

✨ Port — rich, concentrated, and luxuriously smooth, born when fermentation is stopped to preserve natural sweetness
